Full Circle Community Partners

Full Circle Community Partner Selection: In the Spring of 2004, seven community-based organizations were selected through an RFQ process (request for qualifications) within the the 6-county greater Chicago region (counties of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will).  In the Spring of 2005, two additional organizations (GSDC and QCDC) were selected to collect data as part of the LISC New Communities Program, plan implementation.

The Albany Park Community Center Inc., is a not-for-profit, community-based organization located in the multi-ethnic, working poor neighborhood of Albany Park. The Center operates a wide range of programs and services at fifteen locations in and around the community.

Bickerdike Redevelopment Corporation was charged in its mission to redevelop West Town, Humboldt Park and Logan Square communities for the benefit of and control by the lower and moderate-income residents of those areas and began by developing affordable single family homes. While Bickerdike's mission has remained largely unchanged over the past 37 years, our work has evolved into a multifaceted approach to community development.

Bethel New Life Inc. is a 24 year-old faith-based, non-profit, community development corporation on the west side of Chicago. Bethel's main program area's are: community and economic development, housing development, family support services, community organizing.

Centers For New Horizons is a 501©3 nonprofit that provides center-based early childhood education, youth development, family support, child welfare, and community building programs that, collectively, serve nearly 2000 individuals daily in 15 different locations in Bronzeville and Riverdale. 

DevCorp North is a 10-year old community-based organization serving Rogers Park that targets its primary efforts toward improving the economic viability of the community.

Greater Southwest Development Corporation (GSDC) is a nonprofit community development corporation that actively contributes to residential, commercial, and industrial revitalization efforts in Southwest Chicago.

Founded in 1998, Little Village Environmental Justice Organization is a 501-c-3 community based organization (CBO) in the Chicago region's largest Latino neighborhood, South Lawndale, Chicago Community Area #30. LVEJO has 6 staff members, 25 regular volunteers, and a membership of 300.

In partnership with the 35th Ward office and Logan Square Neighborhood Association the Logan Square Chamber of Commerce will take the primary lead in the Full Circle mapping process.  The Logan Square Chamber of Commerce (formerly the Fullerton Ave. Chamber of Commerce) is an association of over 200 local businesses including restaurants, retailers, doctors, lawyers, beauty salons and plumbing suppliers. As a delegate agency of the City of Chicago,  the chamber helps existing business owners achieve success, advocate for community improvements and encourage new businesses to locate in our community.

Southeast Environmental Task Force is a 501 (c)(3) organization serving the Southeast Side and south suburbs of Chicago for fourteen years.  SETF's three programs area include—civic and environmental education, open space enhancement, and industry good neighbor dialogues.

The mission of the Quad Communities Development Corporation is to plan, guide, support, and monitor human infrastructure and community development activities that will create a sustainable, healthy, mixed-income neighborhood. QCDC serves as a "convener" of quality of life related programs within the Quad Communities. In this capacity, it organizes stakeholders and leverages resources to support community development initiatives, including commercial/retail, employment, education, and affordable housing preservation programs.

Founded in 1990 by a coalition of parishioners from six Catholic parishes, The Resurrection Project is an institution-based neighborhood organization whose mission is to build relationships and challenge people to act on their faith and values to create healthy communities through education, organizing and community development.

The mission of Teamwork Englewood is to aid and encourage positive development by engaging in joint ventures, direct investment and advocacy on behalf of the community.
